I agree with the stipulations on the reverse side of this application, to payment of the applicable fee, and will be responsible for the proper use of the facilities of Temple Baptist Church and realize I am liable for any damages incurred. The church is not liable for any damage to the users’ property or for injury or harm to any person participating in or coming to or from the premises, however caused, and the Applicant agrees to indemnify the church against financial consequences of any liability. The leadership also reserves the right to decline the use of our facility if the applicant’s request conflicts with events or usage required by the church. In the event that a conflict does occur due to any circumstance, the church use will take precedence.

 
 
 

Rules and Regulations


 


The leadership of Temple Baptist Church will enforce the following requests:


  


1)      No alcohol is permitted


2)      No weapons or any devices deemed harmful to the public are permitted


3)      No gambling is permitted


4)      No illegal activities are permitted


5)      No alterations or other activities that deface the facility are permitted


6)      Applicants are responsible for their own actions and those of their guests


7)      Applicants may not store items on the premises without prior permission


8)      Signage of any type may not be posted on the property without prior permission


 


The facilities are not available for rent on Saturday evenings (TBC wedding receptions excluded), Sundays or Statutory Holidays.

As a church facility, this building is dedicated to Jesus Christ, God’s Son. It is therefore only available for activities, including prayers and ceremonies, which are consistent with this dedication.


 


Nothing is to be moved without permission from the church contact person. Anything that is moved for the event must be placed back in its original location before the next day.  Certain items may not be moved/removed from the Auditorium:  piano, keyboard, video monitors, sound equipment.


 


No holes are to be made in walls, ceiling or doors and any decorating must be able to be removed without marking the walls. Windows on the hallway side of seminar rooms and classrooms are not to be covered.


 


Paper products, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. must be provided by the contact person.


 


If the gymnasium is being used, non-scuff running shoes are mandatory. The contact person is responsible to ensure necessary sports safety equipment is used by participants.


 


Room Setups


 


All rooms that are designated for use must be set up by the applicant at a time that does not conflict with church related activities. Upon completion of the event for which rooms were used, the applicant is responsible for the cleanup and the setup of the room to its original condition or format. Any additional cleanup by custodial staff will result in a fee as set out in the fee structure provided below.


 


Audio Visual Person


 


The Auditorium and Student Centre sound and lighting may only be operated by a TBC audio/visual technician, at the rate provided below.


 


In addition, use of meeting room or classroom projectors/screens/monitors (tech equipment) is available at the rate provided below.


 


Security


 


Security personnel will be notified when there is an event scheduled in the building after business hours or on the weekend.


 


Insurance


 


The permit holder is responsible to indemnify TBC with respect to all aspects of the usage and non-members and organizations are required to provide a Certificate of Comprehensive Liability Insurance in the minimum amount of $2 million per occurrence, including tenant’s liability, naming Temple Baptist Church as an additional insured.
